Almost graduating with your BN has it's ups and downs,
sights and sounds.
I've walked in on fellow's having intimate encounters
with their right hand, baby powdered old woman's
saggy boobies, stuck my fingers in creepy holes,
have used tree cutters to trim toenails
and have seen babies come out of very tiny
places.
My biggest fear is:
THE STOMA
To me- this is my gag reflex.
Don't get me wrong... having any sort of ostomy
is horrible and I respect all of these patients
for adapting their lifestyles so drastically.

However...
when I find out I have to be dealing with
a very odorous stoma, I look sort of
like this:

Squeezing poo out of the collection bag is
directly out of one of my worst nightmares.

Good news is, as a BN you may have to learn about all this but on the ward..your higher in the "pecking order" and in reality will not be dealing with this stuff on a daily basis..
Just remember in life.."shit happens" to everyone...so you have to deal/squeeze a little more than the average person...at least your getting paid to deal with it!!!
Take that to the bank....yo!!
